Besides making great music, the TEAM at EpicSoul is required to stay current on the latest internet trends and digital formats.

The founder of EpicSoul Music Group is Michael John, (aka M.J.) a composer/producer who got his now "legendary" start at the age of 17. (You have to ask us to tell you the story. Yes, it's quite the story - and we have the 1988 video clip to prove it!) A veteran of the music industry, MJ is now bringing his unique vision into the internet and mobile sectors keeping EpicSoul on the cutting edge of the music, advertising, internet and mobile world.

Along the way, Michael met Dion Brown, who was a veteran of the corporate world but got bit by the "music bug" (yes, it is now a documented virus) and started a hip hop recording label and studio. Dion co-founded The Arise Music Group, a production company located in the “Old” Warner Brother’s Building on Nashville’s famed music row where he and his team produced music for other record labels, artists and ad agencies from New York to Atlanta including major campaigns like the TN Lottery campaign.

Now together, Michael and Dion craft the EpicSoul sound, working with their staff writers, producers, artists and managers, putting their unique touch on all projects they choose to bring into the company.
